ATLANTA, GA – March 19, 2009 – Nathan Reinhardt, an Assistant Project Manager with Dynalectric Company-Georgia and a senior engineering student at Southern Polytechnic State University, has been named Engineering Technology Student of the Year by the Georgia Engineering Alliance (GEA).
Dynalectric Company-Georgia, a premier electrical contractor serving the southeastern United States, is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE:EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure, and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses.
The Georgia Engineering Alliance is an umbrella association for all participating professional engineering associations in the state. The organization's annual Georgia Engineer of the Year competition recognizes deserving and dedicated engineers who have made valuable contributions to their profession and who have impacted the engineering community.
"Nathan ranks as one of the brightest, hardest-working and dedicated young men I have worked with," noted Bob Wilson, President, Dynalectric Company-Georgia. "For an engineering student not yet out of school, he has managed to develop himself into a key element of our project management and estimating team. He has taken the lead on several multi-million dollar estimates and was recently assigned to manage a multi-million dollar electrical design build project."
Reinhardt was cited by the GEA for his academic, work and community service. He has been working for Dynalectric since 2004 while also attending Southern Polytechnic State University. He will receive a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology in May of 2009 as well as a certificate in specialty construction management. He is active in professional organizations such as ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) and has served as President of the NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) chapter on his campus as well as President of his fraternity, Sigma Nu. He has also volunteered his time with the ACE Mentor Program of Atlanta, mentoring high school students interested in careers in construction and engineering.
Wilson added: "Nathan is a model student, a leader amongst his peers and often defines the phrase 'good work ethic.' It's evident that his ability to think innovatively and outside the box will enable him to become one of the best in his field of engineering and construction. We are all extremely proud of his accomplishments."
